The health center at Eden Village West is staffed by our team of nurses who aree available 24 hours a day. We also have a doctor who serves as our Medical Director who is available for consultations and periodic camp visits as needed.
Most camp injuries are very minor and require simple first aid. In the event that your child becomes ill or needs more medical attention, our camp is a fifteen-minute drive away from a doctor’s office, urgent care, and a full-service hospital.
We will call parents in the event of the following:
Overnight stay in the health center
Off-camp medical trip
Need of new prescription medication
Your camper menstruates for the first time.
We have a general medical question or concern about your camper
True medical emergency
We aim to call or email parents as soon as possible to report on health-related issues. If an issue arises late at night we may wait to notify parents early the following morning, depending on its urgency.
