Opening and closing days of camp are a fun and special time for everyone! Eden Village West prides itself on smooth arrival and departure days, and we can’t do this without your partnership. Please read the information below IN ITS ENTIRETY to ensure you understand the details of opening and closing days at camp.
After reading this document, please complete the “Travel Form” located in the Forms & Documents section of your CampInTouch account. For all campers arriving by plane, parents must also complete the “Flights: Parent Agreement” form in CampInTouch. If you have questions after reviewing this form, please email welcome@edenvillagewest.org with the subject “Travel”.

Traveling To Camp By Car
Opening Day: We will be doing a staggered arrival time this year. Please plan to arrive at camp with your camper(s) at the following times:
Session 1 and 1A:
All campers: 2:00-2:30
Session 2, 2A and Taste of Camp:
All campers 2:00-2:30
Please arrive promptly at the designated arrival/departure time. Eden Village West staff members will be waiting to direct you upon arrival to camp on opening and closing days. Your child’s luggage must be closed, securely tied, and clearly labeled, with their name and address on each bag. All medications should be labeled with your child’s name and easily accessible to hand off to our nurses
Closing Day: Please arrive promptly at 10:30am. Parents and families will have an hour to tour camp and are expected to depart at 11:30am

Traveling To Camp by Plane
We have many campers who travel long distances to attend Eden Village West, and we are pleased to provide airport transportation to and from Oakland Airport. Our staff will greet your child at their gate on Arrival Day and will go through security and wait with them at their gate until their flight departs on Departure Day. Please read all of the information below before booking your flights!
Step 1: Pick Flights
Eden Village West provides transportation to and from Oakland International Airport (OAK). If you cannot find a direct flight to/from OAK for the airport of your choice, please call our office at 510-560-5610 and we will choose a flight together!
Please book a flight that arrives and departs in the following time windows:
Arrival into OAK: 10:00 am -12:00 pm
Departure from OAK: 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Step 2: Is your camper an Unaccompanied Minor?
It varies by airline, but campers 11 and under flying Southwest Airlines must register as Unaccompanied Minors at the time reservations are made. Please write "Brad Cohen or Representative of Eden Village West" as the person who will arrange pickup for your camper. If you are not flying Southwest Airlines, please look up the airline’s Unaccompanied Minor policy when booking your flight.
Step 3: Flight Purchase / Camp Update
Purchase your flight! If your child is an Unaccompanied Minor, be sure to fill out that form. Then, login into CampInTouch and update the “Travel Form” with your flight information.
IMPORTANT NOTE: We gather all flight information for our airport transportation from the "Travel Form" in CampInTouch- please make sure all flight information is accurately put into your camper’s CampinTouch account and be sure to update the form if your camper's flight time or flight number changes. We cannot guarantee space in our camp airport van if we do not have your camper’s accurate flight information.
